Yevgeny Kuyvashev, the Governor of the Sverdlovsk region, has signed the order on preparation and staging of the European Sambo Championship in Ekaterinburg next year. The completion will run from May 21 till May 25, 2020.
As the Information Policy Department reports, the Head of the region relegated to convocate an Organizing Committee to prepare for the European Sambo Championship.
According to Leonid Rapoport, the Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of the Sverdlovsk Region, nowadays more than 8 thousand people are engaged into sambo sport in the Sverdlovsk region.
Ekaterinburg picked up the baton of the European Sambo Championships from Spanish Gijon, where Ekaterinburg was officially declared the capital of the European Championship in May this year.
