Sport complex is situated in the central part of Ekaterinburg, close to the «Dinamo» subway station. The capacity of the main arena is 5,000 spectators. The activity of the complex is focused on holding competitions in such game sports as volleyball, basketball, futsal, and indoor hockey. In addition, competitions in various types of combat sports, gymnastics and artistic gymnastics, sports dancing and tennis are also held here. DIVS is also used as one of the concert venues in the city.

The building was built according to a unique project, which has no analogues in Russia:
The dome of the palace - is an ellipse with axes — 68 and 84 meters,

The total area of the sports complex is — 20 898 sq.m
The main playing hall of DIVS is the largest in the Ural-Siberian region, its area is 1720 sq.m

In total, 6 displays are installed in the hall: 2 side displays, as well as a multifunctional media cube under the dome. An electronic scoreboard is located along the playing area.
